In The Grim Darkness Of The Far Future, There Are Still...

...tier 1 special operators wearing gucci high-speed ally kit, etc etc.

So I mentioned yesterday how I was going back over my urban camouflage Primaris army and making them Raven Guard. This was all well and good until I went looking for Raven Guard transfers. I have about 12? On a single sheet from, I think, Dark Imperium. I do, on the other hand, have a lot of Raptors transfers. And the Raptors are Raven Guard successors. And they're known for wearing camouflage. So Raptors it is!

Looks pretty swish actually, with the one olive green shoulder pad. The big white emblem isn't very, um, low-visibility, but then again it is on a 20' tall walking death machine, so, it's probably fine

I felt so bad re-re-painting these Reiver Marines' shoulderpads, but they turned out OK in the end. I made the decision to mark out squad leaders with black Chapter emblems

As the test models turned out fine, I grabbed a few more from the display cabinet and set to:

The shoulder pads got a coat of Loren Forest, a wash of Nuln Oil, and a dab of gloss varnish (Technical 'Ardcoat for the Citadel paint lovers like me) in preparation for tomorrow's task of Sticking On All The Transfers. Once these ones are done I'll crack on with the rest.

I've not forgotten the Kataphraktoi, they're still on my painting table, I just didn't feel like doing anything on them today. The real question is if I count these towards my painting points tally... all I've done is do up one shoulder pad! I probably won't to be fair. They've already been counted once, seems like cheating to count them again.
