Beware, Foe-Thing - The Stormvermin Approach-Come!

So yesterday I didn't update the blog because P and I went to see Skunk Anansie (supported by So Good), which was an incredible experience and gig in Birmingham. I did, however, do a chunk of work on the Stormvermin in the morning, getting them to the point where I'd Agrax Earthshade'd them. Today, then, was just finishing them off:

The business end - halberds and heavy armour, which - uniquely - aren't rusted!

From this angle you can see the Queekish runes on the banner - the little black one is the rune for Grey Seer(s), and the big red one is the Horned Rat's rune - indicating that this regiment is the bodyguard force for a Grey Seer

The heavy armour plate and mail makes the Stormvermin some of the most well-protected Skaven

You can - if you look closely - see the white fur on the Stormvermin champion, marking him out as part of the Council Guard: he's probably been picked to lead the "normal" black-furred Stormvermin as a sign of the Council's trust (standard level of distrust?) in the Grey Seer

With the Stormvermin done, I can now turn my attentions to the Battle Standard Bearer (currently a role played by a plastic multi-part Clanrat standard bearer, so in the long term I'll probably try to replace it with a fancier option) and the Ratling Gun team, both of which accompany the Stormvermin along with the Grey Seer.

I do really need matt varnish though, as these figures aren't varnished yet... boo!

One final note: I would like five more of these particular Stormvermin, but they're going for quite silly prices on eBay and I have a purchasing moratorium for a while (as well as a desperate lack of disposable income).
