As predicted, the smelly and sickly priests of Nurglitch didn't take too long to finish off, and I now have a five-strong little band of deranged censer-swinging plague rats just chomping at the blue brain to gas some hapless dwarfs or foolish humans (or themselves):
Five doesn't seem like a lot, but they can have an outsized effect (or kill themselves at the worst possible moment, in true Skaven fashion) |
I really like how the robes came out, particularly the use of two tones to differentiate between the hoods and the rest of the robes |
I didn't bother highlighting the bandages to make them seem dirtier |
The verdigris on the bells and censers is meant to be from the poison gas that seeps from the censers |
There's only three different sculpts here but they do look different enough thanks to the paintjob that you can't really tell straight away |
Having done that, I cracked on with the clanrats from the 1987 Warhammer Fantasy Regiments set, and the Grey Seer:
The clanrats are almost as old as I am! The Grey Seer on the other hand is a positive stripling, first released in 1992 with the Screaming Bell kit |
I should absolutely be able to get these squeaking terrors done over the next day or two, which then means I'll be hand-undercoating 40 Clanrats, a Warpfire Thrower team, and three Jezzail teams before working on them over the next week or so.
