Medic!

A pretty short update today - I managed to carve out the time to get almost all of the work done on my second Rogue Doc for Necromunda. This is the chirurgeon model from the Rogue Trader figure set made by Games Workshop, which I picked up in a random bunch of models I got from a friend a couple of years ago.

I tried to suggest a surgical gown with the green colour, and the blue hands are meant to (eventually) look like rubber gloves. Of course she's a future-medic, so presumably the helmet has all sorts of diagnostic equipment and the various phials for her syringe carry medicants and salves and so on. Not too sure I'd be happy to have her claw-hand go to work on me, but in the Underhive you can't really be very choosy...

In the background you can see the House Ulanti Courtier and her Mirror Mask. For this I'm using a couple of converted Lady Credo, Rebel Lord minis from the Necromunda range. The fantastical take on 18th Century courtly fashion fits the vibe of a minor cadet from House Ulanti who's been sent to (shudder) engage with the beastly underhivers of House Escher's paramilitary crime-gangs. The Mirror Mask is, of course, a bodyguard-assassin par excellence, who may or may not even be the Ulanti noble herself when you least expect it. A bit like people confusing Natalie Portman and Keira Knightly in The Phantom Menace.

Tomorrow I hope to finish the Rogue Doc, then I'll probably schedule a post for the weekend as I will be off crewing the post-apocalyptic UK of the Gritlands LARP up in sunny Yorkshire from Friday until Sunday.
