Ready For Revenge

After doing nothing but playing Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries yesterday (well, it was a Saturday) today I knuckled down and finished Jezebel Mourning. I also took the opportunity to take some nice photos of the whole of the Wyld Kats as they currently stand in the campaign's downtime:

I was a bit concerned about how I was going to differentiate between the different shades of white on the model - her hair, the feathers, the PVC/latex clothes, the ivory handle on the plasma pistol - but with some different base shades and a careful application of a watered down Nuln Oil on the feathers she came together quite nicely. The gloss and matt effects also break things up well which is good. Irritatingly I had to use a slightly different paint on the base than I normally do. The usual Necromunda base recipe is Warplock Bronze, drybrushed Leadbelcher, and washed Nuln Oil. However I couldn't find my Warplock Bronze, so I used a different, lighter bronze and - frustratingly - it is visibly different when next to the others. Oh well. On the plus side the green wash on the venom claw looks nice and unpleasant - I certainly wouldn't want to have those raked across me!

L-R: Vikki Vicious (Specialist), Jezebel Mourning (Death Maiden), Fancy Fliss (Gang Queen), Losse de Grey (Death Maiden); Penny Diamond (Matriarch)

L-R: Li'l Septem (Little Sister), Sinnamon Kane (Sister), Faye Starr (Wyld Runner), Tia Venom (Sister); Wildsnake Bliss (Little Sister)

Parra the Medic (Rogue Doc)

The Wyld Kats in their entirety!

So that's the current state of play for the Wyld Kats - refreshed, reinforced, and ready for revenge.

In other news, I have been playing in a Call of Cthulu campaign run by my longtime wargames opponent S, and it's all coming to a head in the sleepy seaside village of Walberswick. More on this tomorrow...!
